I installed DarkOSen yesterday, and it really makes a huge difference when it comes to running some ports. However, I’d really love to see the developers take a closer look at Pan4ELEC and bring some of its excellent user experience features over to the system.

Two of the features that stand out to me are:

* Pressing FN + Power automatically saves a savestate and shuts the system down. When you turn it back on, it automatically boots straight into the game and restores the savestate.
* The system keeps track of how many hours you’ve played, similar to how the Miyoo Mini Plus does it with its games. It would be even better if there were an “app” that showed a list of all your games along with the time played.

There are also several other small things that make a huge difference to the overall experience, such as the button shortcuts and other quality-of-life features.

Honestly, I have no idea how complex these things would be to implement since I’m not a developer. But I really believe that if DarkOS incorporated these features from Pan4ELEC, it wouldn’t be missing anything compared to Onion OS, which is currently one of the best handheld operating systems out there.

DarkOSen is great, but I’d love to see some Pan4ELEC features added
