Low-Cost PCB Test Fixture Design

I've been tasked with creating a low-cost PCB test fixture and I'm looking at something like the image below to hold the DUT as a cheap and cheerful way of getting started.

The PCB is quite straightforward with only about 12 different test-points to be analysed. We've plenty of resource to create our own plates in-house specific to the PCB.

Has anyone had any experience of working with something like this and are there any major pitfalls with thing kind of thing? Or are they good enough?

Thanks!
