Razer optical vs mechanical mouse switches

Discussion

Hello fellow razer users, I wanted to ask you all a question about your opinion on razer optical and mechanical mouse switches.

I used to rock a Mamba for a long time, a great mouse in my opinion which checked almost all boxes, till it developed the infamous double click issue. As I am not keen on repairing mouses and don't have the necessary instruments, I was forced to buy a new mouse.

Opted for the Naga V2 Pro, and it is quite a nice mouse - modular, many customizable buttons, the most customizable scroll wheel, the downsides of it being a bit too heavy for FPS and most of all - very loud optical switches. I do not have any problems with the feel of it, they feel nice and give a good feedback, but they are just very loud. Its not a problem if you wear a headset, but if you don't, the clicks are quite loud for me. :( I heard that the switches on Naga V3 Pro (Gen. 4 optical) are just as loud, if not even louder than the Gen. 3 optical the Naga V2 Pro has.

I am using my old DeathAdder Elite which still works for FPS and such now, and comparing the old mechanical switches it has with the new optical ones, they are MUCH, MUCH quieter and have a much more nice sound. Ordered another Deathadder Elite from Amazon to have a replacement when my old one breaks down. It is my understanding, the Deathadder Elite was the last DA with mechanical switches.

Question to you - are all new optical razer switches so loud? DA, Basilisk? I already know Naga's are quite loud. Does Razer not produce nice quiet sounding switches anymore like they used to while they had mechanical?
