($75)(Repay $90 on 10/08/2026)(Jonesboro,GA,USA) Cash App. Trying to pay for my hotel room and put food in the pantry.

Handout Needed

My best friend’s mother 55F and I 28F are living in a hotel because we have no access to stable, permanent housing. At $55 per night, the room costs approximately $1,650 a month—more than twice the income I have available.

My only income is Supplemental Security Income. Although my monthly benefit is $1,025, approximately $200 is deducted for Medicare Part B, leaving me with just over $800 to survive. I also receive only $105 in food assistance, which does not last through the month.

Every dollar must be stretched between shelter, food, hygiene products, transportation, clothing, and other basic necessities. Even if I devoted my entire income to the hotel, it still would not cover the monthly cost. We live under constant financial pressure, never knowing whether we will be able to keep a roof over our heads while also meeting our most basic needs.

Any financial assistance would provide more than temporary relief—it would help us remain sheltered, purchase food, and afford necessities that most people should never have to go without.
