Father trying to enforce me not dating a Jew

Me and this Jewish girl are interested in each other and in her past she was raped and engaged before the age 18. my dad said those signs alone should make it to where we shouldn’t date. we’re both 16. She really is a nice person and she said she’s willing to attend service with me. She has an altered belief in Judaism. But my family said I should just focus on life. My dad gave me the option to either give up my passion to date her or wait till 18. the reason I believe he’s doing this because she’s white or Jewish is because my last girlfriend believed there was a God but didn’t have a personal relationship with him at all. She was biracial. my thing is I get I have to honor my parents but is it just me who thinks this is unfair. I plan to wait until 18 before we date but why did this have to be the course of action? Im aware of that scripture discourages dating inter beliefs but it doesn’t forbid it.
