Looking for someone to take over my Kev Carmody lease!

Hi! I’m looking for someone to take over my room at Kev Carmody House, UQ Res from the end of November (around the 20th). Next year I will not be at St Lucia campus, so I’m looking to move somewhere closer, which unfortunately means I have to give up my room :(

A bit about the accommodation:

• Available: End of Nov 2026
• Location: Kev Carmody House on UQ St Lucia campus
• Rent: $414 per week
• Room: Standard Room https://uqres.com/rooms/standard-room/
• Lease currently runs until: Feb 2026 (however, 2027 contract renewals are currently underway until the end of September, so taking over the room now may give you an opportunity to discuss/secure a renewal for next year directly with UQ Res)

The room includes an ensuite, fridge and freezer, aircon and lots of storage space. The kitchen is communal downstairs, however every floor has lounges with microwaves, sinks and filtered water! I’ve found it to be really great value so far. Everything is cleaned regularly, there’s often free bread and groceries and both the staff and fellow residents are very friendly. Plus, it’s right on campus so you don’t have to walk far to get to class which is super convenient!
