Sometimes it’s not the wallpaper or the widgets - it’s just where you put them and how they work together.

We took 3 setups and tried to improve them with a few simple changes. Here’s the before & after.

# Setup 1

**Before**

* The widgets cover the car - the main focus of the wallpaper.
* Some widgets overlap and hide information.
* The layout feels a bit random.
* The widgets don’t really match the wallpaper.

**After**

* We moved the larger widgets to the empty space on the left.
* Removed the background from the Reminders widget for a cleaner look.
* Matched the clock color to the car’s turn signals and made it the main widget.
* Aligned the Stocks and Clock widgets to make the layout feel more balanced.

# Setup 2

**Before**
Most of the widgets are grouped on the left, right where the cyclist is, covering one of the main parts of the wallpaper.

**After**
We moved the widgets into the empty areas instead of covering the subject. The CPU widget even follows the curve of the handlebars, while the blue from the Space Era theme ties the whole setup together.

# Setup 3

**Before**
The widgets come from different themes, so their colors, fonts, and styles don’t quite work together or with the wallpaper.

**After**
We gave them a shared visual style: one accent color based on the Battery widget, matching secondary colors, and the same font across all widgets.

Ever made a setup that looked better in your head? 😅
