Saw 2 huge roaches the past 2 days, while never seeing any for months?

I'm currently staying in a hot tropical climate. It's been 3 months, and I was expecting to see roaches in my residence often. Luckily, I haven't seen any for 3 months.

However, the past 2 days I saw 2 huge ones. The flying type, maybe 3-4 inches big. The first one I used a broom to sweep out of my home. It looked weak and couldn't move at full speed, and was on it's back after I swept it out of my house. It died outside, on it's back in the same position.. The 2nd roach came in a day later. Similarly, it seemed weak and when I swept it out of my door, it didn't make an effort to crawl or fly away.

Is there an infestation nearby? I always keep my place very clean.
