Assault weapons while mounted in N26

I'm considering a Gang Sister with Hip Shooting on a dirt bike, armed with an auto pistol and shock whip for 95 credits. Does Assault work after dashing on a bike?

I'm imagining a rapid fire flanker who can go into melee with a 17% chance of not getting hit back, then gain a free consolidate move to get into cover. I was going to do this with a Wyld Runner armed with a bow and whip, but hadn't considered the 10 credit upgrade to better WS/BS and a harder hitting yet shorter ranged weapon.

I wonder how well a Phelynx or Phyrr would keep up with the bike?
