[M4A] Looking for long term sci-fi/fantasy RP partners!
Hey! I've been missing having a regular writing partner and I'm hoping to get back into things again. I'm hoping to write something that involves main characters who do not like one another but are forced to get along and grow together! The forced proximity is my favorite, and I like when they don't get along at the start!
About me: 32M ET, work a slow day job and have lots of time to write most days! I write a lot on my own, too, but roleplaying just hits a different spot. Outside of RP, I play a fair shake of games, read, spend time outdoors, and learn stuff (I'm fluent in Japanese)!
Quick details:
- 18+, non-negotiable
- Third person, past tense (but open to present tense)
- Between 1 and 3 Discord messages on average, can go way higher when appropriate or shorter when it fits.
- Frequency of roughly one post a day, maybe more or less depending on pacing and availability and stuff
- Fantasy/sci fi preferred, but I'm open to modern settings
- Original characters, original plots, original settings. Some room for negotiation for D&D, Pokemon, or Star Wars stories, but I don't do anything with canon characters
- I will be writing the part of a male character, but I have no preference for you or your character's identity!
- Romance and beyond is fine but I prefer it to be organic to the story! Enemies to lovers is great if it works, but I'm totally on board for foes to bros, too!
Here are a couple of ideas I've got as possible jumping off points. Let me know if any catch your eye or if you have any other ideas!
Hunt Gone Wrong:
Responding to reports of a monster, a witch, a demon, or otherwise, my character sets out to rout yours out. Somewhere along the way, they end up siding with one another for one reason or another. We can work the specifics out together!
The Enemy of My Enemy:
Our characters serve opposite sides of a conflict but have come together to face a larger, graver threat than the war they've been embroiled in. Opportunities for more side characters and B plots!
If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM and let's see how we go!
