Is it just me? If yes, sorry.
I'm a FTM to an 18m old boy, he is so cute and honestly I love the stage he's currently at. However, is it just me that thinks EVERY other kid around him is now on the 'spectrum'...
I'm 30, and 'back in my day' there was ONE boy in my school year who had learning difficulties. The rest of us weren't on the spectrum but all I see or hear now is 'my child has learning needs' and it's tiring. I know some do, but I also know you get benefits for this so I know a LOT of them use it to their advantage. Last week, a child lifted my sons pram hood up and SCREAMED at him (my child was asleep) and his mum said 'oh he has adhd' - Like i'm sorry but I cannot show any remorse anymore. Everywhere I go there's some sort of excuse for this shitty behaviour. I know someone whose child has adhd and wont go to school, yet this wasn't a thing a few years back because we got taught to go by our parents. Are parents just being gentle? Im not a gentle parent at all, and that is why my kid is obedient af. No screen time, he listens, yes, he messes around but he's a child but not to an extent where id use it as an excuse he's on the spectrum.
Im just sick and tired of hearing it now. Where are the kids who aren't.
