I built a Shopify app for viewing furniture in your room

I’m building SpaceCheck because buying furniture online still involves a lot of guessing. Product photos show the style, but they don’t show whether a sofa or table will actually work in someone’s room.

SpaceCheck turns an existing furniture photo into a 3D model. Shoppers can rotate it on the product page or open the AR view on their phone and see it at home. I’ve also built a Shopify app so merchants can use the models with products already in their store.

The difficult part wasn’t just generating the model. It was getting the scale right. AI can recreate the visible shape from a photo, but it cannot reliably know the real dimensions, so the merchant still needs to provide those.

I’m trying to understand which feature furniture sellers would care about more: the interactive 3D product view or the AR room placement.

If anyone here runs a Shopify store, I’d be interested in your honest take.
