Is BA using AI backgrounds?
The source is from Erika's Momotalk but the fast food restaurant BG is all sorts of jank. The chairs do not seem to be match each other and the bigger offender are those fast food posters- the weird illegible text aside, it's clear that there was an -attempt- to price them in yen but you can hardly make out the price. The fries loosely seem like they are 110 Yen but the burger is ??? Yen
Perhaps I am going on a witch hunt over a nothing burger, but the fast food posters just... do not inspire confidence. These registers look suspect af.
Maybe I completely missed the mark completely and this is just paranoia over nothing, but idk the bg felt so lacking in quality that it felt like a slap to the face lol.
I say this especially because in the usual backgrounds we see, the texts are -clear- and legible. There's no weird blurry blobs. The image above is from the same momotalk story, just an earlier scene- it's one that Im sure many of us are already familiar with.
It's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, but the streetlamps here are consistent in sizing compared to the chairs, which are... well, weirdly oriented, kind of like what you would expect from an 8th grader's first attempt at perspective art.
If it turns out I am correct in my analysis, this is a massive bummer- it feels like the game is disrespecting its own artists. The Steam page seems to suggest that they use procedural AI tools which I was under the impression meant for coding and such, but it seems like that it's actually for image and asset generation instead (AI dogshit).
