Wrote my first short, no crew/experience where do I actually start?

Hey, I am newly passionate about film making, i am not a film school student just a guy who like writing and i wanna become a film maker, i really dont have any idea of how do i start the journey though like every person i met has been to film school and says its competitive. i have written a short film but i have made it in video as i dont have any experience and any people i can ask to be the part of it so any ideas on how do i get my journey started?
