How are you validating 4G/5G CPE performance before installation?
I’m curious how people here approach CPE validation for private LTE/5G and industrial deployments.
A router showing as connected obviously doesn’t tell the whole story. Depending on placement and network conditions, RSRP, RSRQ, SNR, latency and throughput can vary quite a bit.
I’ve also noticed that RF measurements from a CPE can sometimes look fairly similar to handset measurements, while actual data performance can be quite different.
For those deploying CPEs in factories, warehouses, industrial sites or private networks, what do you normally test before deciding on the final installation location?
Do you test directly through the CPE, rely on handset/site-survey measurements, or use a combination of both?
That reads much more like an engineer starting a discussion than a company trying to generate traffic.
Also, don't paste the identical post into many subreddits in a short period. Reddit explicitly identifies repetitive mass-posting for exposure as potential spam. And always check the particular subreddit's rules first moderators can remove posts or ban users from their individual community even when there isn't a sitewide violation.
