Week one wrap, and what I would like this sub to become

Posted seven things this week, here and elsewhere. The threads that got the most useful replies were the modelling ones, specifically the temporal validity problem and the identity-across-acquisition question. Neither of which I have a good answer to, which is roughly why this exists.

What I would like this to be: somewhere you can post an actual modelling problem and get an answer from someone who has shipped one. Not a place for takes.

Two things that would help:

  1. If you have a modelling problem you are stuck on, post it. I would rather this sub is 80% other people's questions than 80% my writing.
  2. If you disagreed with any of the definitions I put up on Wednesday, say so in that thread rather than here. I would rather be corrected in public.

Longer pieces go on Substack, everything is collected at aisemanticcircle.com. But the discussion should live here, because this is the only one of these platforms where being wrong in public is normal.
