What makes you lose interest during the talking stage (before meet up)?

We all if not most have experienced the talking stage before the actual date or meet up. For men and women, what makes you lose interest in a potential date during the talking stage?

What if you are still in an LDR situation? What makes you want to drop the conversation or worse, ghost that person?
