Using urea cream for KP, do I need to dodge my tattoos?

I wanna try urea cream for my KPd upper arms. I wanna get tattoos there and I want to treat my skin first. I already have a couple in my forearms. Do I need to avoid putting the cream on those or is it safe? They're both healed
