Financial Mutants: What are your actual investment returns
22M - I’m curious how everyone here is actually doing compared with the broader market.
For those who are comfortable sharing, what has your rate of return looked like?
As of right now:
- YTD: 31.2%
- 1-Year: 37.8%
- 5-Year:
- Total Growth: 74.28% (Started ROTH - 2022)
And the part I’m most interested in: What are you primarily invested in? Index funds, target-date funds, individual stocks, a mix, etc.?
I know everyone’s timeline, contributions, and risk tolerance are different, so this isn’t really about who has the highest return. I’m more curious what a realistic long-term return looks like among people following The Money Guy philosophy, rather than just assuming everyone gets “10% a year.”
Bonus question: Do you actually track your personal return, or do you mostly focus on your savings rate and staying invested?
