Why is it that whenever a male character comes out, he’s automatically seen as a skip for the character coming after him?

Whether you choose Hsin, Jingran, or even both, they’ll eventually get powercrept, just like Cartethyia, Jinhsi, and Aemeath. You should also be prepared to think twice before going for Hsin, because she’ll also require Suoming, a character from the second half and from 3.x. Jingran, on the other hand, only needs Shorekeeper and Iuno, two characters from 1.x and 2.x.

On top of that, there isn’t even an HP buffer yet, so his potential is extremely high. Be prepared to use the same DoT supports for her as well. Hsin and the DoT archetype are much more expensive compared to a Jingran team. As strange as it may seem, despite Jingran being an HP-scaling character, he actually has a lot of team options, which is relatively great for either an early-box account or a veteran account with a developed roster.

Qingxiao, for example, is much more limited in comparison. It’s basically either Denia/Lynae + Mornye, or it’s not really worth it.

A lot of people complain about Jingran’s signature weapon, but a Qingxiao team was actually much more expensive as well. Not only did you need Qingxiao’s weapon, but Denia’s weapon was also far from negligible.

If you were planning to pull for Qingxiao in the first place, that means you had plenty of resources, so complaining about Jingran is a bit hypocritical if you’re in that situation. People who actually wanted Jingran would never complain.

Anyway, if you really wanted Hsin, you would’ve simply skipped Qingxiao like a normal person. Patch 3.7 will probably be very generous with pulls too.

And just to clarify, this isn’t hate towards Qingxiao or Hsin. Qingxiao has the best female character design in the game for me, and I pulled her entire team + her weapon. I just wanted us to be honest for two minutes. The people saying they’re going to skip Jingran on social media were planning to skip him from the very beginning.

Peace & love❤🙏
