Can AI actually do exploratory testing?
AI is getting surprisingly good at writing E2E tests. But that's also the problem most of those tests follow a predefined flow.
Real exploratory testing is different. You don't know the path beforehand. You notice something weird, change direction, try an unexpected input, reload at the wrong moment, combine actions that weren't supposed to be combined, etc.
I've been looking at an approach where an AI agent gets a running web app and a goal then explores the UI autonomously instead of following a fixed script.
One example is Explorbot: https://testomat.ai/explorbot/
If you've tried AI agents for exploratory testing, what did they actually find that your normal automation didn't?
