Thoughts on CPT suspension?

So I just found out about the “CPT suspension”. Isn’t getting a CPT to be able to work like one of the biggest reasons international students even study in SJSU? Getting an on-campus job is hard as it is if you’re like someone who is from here. It’s prolly 10x harder for international students. So what kind of jobs do they expect these guys to get?

Do they want these students to just study and rely on their parents to support themselves financially? The ones not as financially stable are gonna end up broke, depressed, and more anxious.

And now even the whole point of experience. If they can’t land an internship during their degree, how are employers gonna hire them in the future after they graduate? Their resume is gonna look like ass.

Does this country not realize how important these international students/people are? Especially to the economy and shit lmao. Are we going backwards as a country? Mega Racism resurgence?

People complaining “immigrants are taking our jobs”, yeah cuz there’s a reason that happens. They’re more capable. There’s a reason why the world thinks those of us living in the States are bots.

Im not saying give all jobs to them. Those who work hard should be rewarded. It’s simple. I know a lot of international students who are also like not the brightest, but they here for the vibes so it’s cool. But every opportunity should be equal or atleast try to be.

Hopefully SJSU and all other CSU schools do something before they lose all their international students. And there needs to be haste, otherwise it’s gonna turn out bad.
