How do you release anger/frustration without swearing or creating negative karma?

Ask Thirties

I genuinely don’t want to curse or use abusive language, but some days the amount of frustration and craziness I deal with in corporate life is… a lot.

There are moments when I feel like I need to let the anger out somehow, but I don’t want to say things that are hateful, abusive, or morally wrong.

I also have a spiritual belief that words carry energy, and I really don’t want to attract any unnecessary negativity or “bad karma” into my life. I’m already dealing with enough and I don’t need to make things worse!

So I’m looking for healthy, morally neutral alternatives.

Suggest some words, phrases, funny combinations of words, or even activities that you use when you’re extremely frustrated?

For example, something that gives you the same emotional release as a swear word but isn’t actually a curse or an insult.

Or activities like:
Screaming into a pillow - I tried this, didn’t help much!

Writing an absolutely unfiltered rant and then deleting it - again didn’t help much.

Going for a very fast walk ( on a bad day , I don’t feel like lifting a finger and I act dead)

I’m particularly interested in short words/phrases that can be used in the moment when you’re sitting in a meeting and internally losing your mind.
Bonus points if they’re funny.

TL;DR: I don’t want to swear, curse, insult anyone, or attract negative karma, but I need a way to release intense corporate / personal frustration.

What are your favourite non-offensive words, phrases, or activities that provide that emotional release?
