Jared’s Desperation

This isn’t really a hot take, but Jared’s very public desperation to get people to watch the special and get a watch count:

- “no watch parties! Watch alone so it counts as more watched!”
- “let it play in the background so I get a watch count!”
- him commenting on everything he’s featured on: “watch my special!!”
- him talking nonstop about needing to be in the top10
- him going on about how it’s his best work, and if the audience isn’t sharing it, it will make him question his career

…all makes me feel like watching it would be me doing him a favor, versus me enjoying an hour of my time.

Big famous, even mid-scale scale ones like Taylor Tomlinson, give off confidence…not like begging. It’s just such a bad PR move to beg people to watch your special because you’re using it as a gauge for your success in life.😅 You’re just making people feel bad, not pumped.
