How can I improve my chances of getting hired as an electrician apprentice in Dallas?

Hi everyone,
I’m a Green Card holder moving to Dallas. I have 2,5 years of experience as an electrician helper in Turkey and already have my Texas TDLR apprentice license.

I’ve been applying for apprentice/helper jobs, but most applications are either rejected or I get no response. What can I do to improve my chances of getting my foot in the door? Should I focus on certain types of contractors, apply in person, join an apprenticeship program, etc.?

I’m willing to start at the bottom and work hard. I’d really appreciate advice from electricians working in the Dallas/DFW area.

Thanks in advance.
