After many years my first 2-week relationship; she's not involved
Hi, this is my first post here! Let me start by saying that I only had one girlfriend when I was 16 and just 3 or 4 other relationships, most of which were during high school, but as an adult I’ve only had one casual hookup. Anyway, I started talking to this girl (23) I’m 26 and we hit it off on Instagram and have a ton of interests in common, like, a lot. After a week, we decided to meet up for a chill hangout and spent the evening talking, mostly about lighthearted stuff and joking around. After the date, I felt like it had gone really well, so we decided to meet again for a second date, where I really opened up to her, talking about some very personal things as well as relationships. I saw the date as a success at least from my perspective since she seemed interested and I felt we were very compatible, especially in terms of tastes and sense of humor. We didn’t kiss or even flirt, because I wasn’t in the mood and wanted to get to know her better. But three days after the date, she texted me saying she’d been thinking about it and didn’t feel like continuing because she wasn’t invested in it. I replied that it was no problem on my end, wished her all the best, and told her I’d been happy to meet her.
The thing is, I found myself in this relationship 4–5 years after my last “let’s call it a relationship,” where everything seemed perfect and was going just right, but then suddenly she broke up with me. It was really hard for me, especially after realizing and researching online that it was the future I envisioned with this person that mattered most to me, not so much the fact that I was infatuated. Now I find myself feeling pretty sad; I thought I’d finally found the right girl for me after so long she seemed interested, but that’s not the case. (I hope she comes back, haah)
P.S. I'm not the type of guy who reaches out to people not at all. I started talking to this girl because my account had been hacked, and the hacker sent random scam photos to my contacts.
