Just came back after leaving before the "clean up" did it work?

So I left the game months ago, was never a hardcore player but I've dabbled over the years and the pvp was unplayable for me. Apparently they were doing some kind of mass cleanup of cheaters and people giving themselves free everything. Did this work? Is the game better than it was?

Also apparently I missed some free stuff, this done or can I still get goodies. I don't have a lot of things. I actually deleted my first character because I wanted to see if I got my rainbow tickets back lmao. Was such a waste
