Don't choose WoW if you have an alternative
Attended WoW 2026 and this was my first commercial festival and first month in sweden. I only attended thursday.
The main park was fun albeit VERY crowded. It was genuinely impossible to move from one stage to another. Also there were too many underage kids and old people for my liking.
The Pustervik stage was a nightmare. I came in super early at the front of the door queue, very excited to see mietze, thaiboy and nina. The first half of mietze was magical. And then i just felt the vibe change as the venue filled up. Unbelievably overcrowded stage with drunk people constantly pushing you with all their might. Using your shoulders as an armrest XD.
Also during hitech and entirety of Pustervik random old men grabbed my waist and kept trying to advance although i told them to fuck off and not touch me. And I'm a dude. Cant even imagine what kinda harrasment some women had to endure. And its genuinely impossible to move in the crowd and report to authorities, although i dont think they wouldve given a fuck.
Another cool story, a woman kept pushing me with her forearms so I pushed back with my forearm. She then confronted me and I said that I would get squeezed if I dont push back. End of discussion right? 5 mins later someone starts choking me from behind and apparently its this womans loser of a husband.
Even though I had these really uncomfortable experiences, a lot of people would come to tell the weirdos off and ask me if I was alright etc.
So to summarize, the artists were a blast, I made really cool friends and had really sweet interactions but the audience for this festival is overbooked, venues too small and has tons of uncultured people.
If you have the means, I would reccomend everyone to see touring artists at other festivals in europe.
