Safe stay recommendations for a solo female traveller?

Hi guys! I’m 28F and travelling to Thrissur later this month for about a week. I’ll be travelling solo, so I’m looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay.

I’ll be working online during the day, so good Wi-Fi and a comfortable space to work would be important. I’d also like to stay somewhere that’s not too isolated, so I can go out in the evenings, explore, grab food, etc.

I’d especially prefer a homestay or a place with access to a kitchen, since I’ll be there for a week and would like to cook some of my meals rather than eat out every day. A private room/bathroom would be ideal.

Would love recommendations from locals, especially for:
Safe homestays for a woman travelling alone
Good areas/localities to stay in
Places with a kitchen + Wi-Fi
