CME dry whey surprised me with strong production and strong exports

CME dry whey closed on Friday at 75.25¢/lb, a calendar-year high.

What caught me off guard is that production isn’t especially tight. July dry whey production was up almost 19% from a year ago.

Exports seem to be doing more of the work here than I expected.
