Underrated accompanying vocals

Roxy Music - Avalon and Tears For Fears - Woman In Chains, feature some of the most dramatic, dynamic, and beautiful accompanying vocals I’ve ever heard. Merely referring to these artists as “backup vocalists” is a serious understatement. Any recommendations for similar music?
