Y'all are well and good with the devs 'prioritising the casual audience' until it comes at the cost of something you in particular want (Gorr being a tank).

:Discussion:Discussion

Would it be healthier for the game if he was a tank, and the devs released a majority of tank and support heroes? Sure. But that's not going to happen, because a significant amount of this game's casual audience are casual DPS players, where do y'all think all the complaints about 3 and 4 DPS comps in Quickplay come from? Why do lower ranks play DPS so over proportion? I'd say pretty clearly that it IS the most popular role to the casual audience.

So, according to what people on this sub have been saying forever, that means the devs need to sacrifice the competitive integrity of the game to make sure they're delivering for that core casual audience. Just like the devs 'shouldn't' listen to balance suggestions from higher rank players/pros, even if those suggestions would improve the health of the game, so they can prioritise the casual audience, they also 'shouldn't' try and balance the role disparity, even if its healthier for the game, because to do so would be neglecting their largest casual playerbase.

That's part and parcel of what comes with being a 'casual focused game' so I honestly think it's funny to see all the crashing out going on here. You can't use that defense when its used for something that you like and then ignore it when it's for something you don't like, like the role disparity. So honestly, fuck yeah, bring on DPS Gorr.
