I made egg salad the other day, had to substitute the mayo, and it turned out better than expected

:food: Food & Drinks

So I wanted to make egg salad the other day. Wanted to make them deviled egg style cause deviled eggs are amazing. I got the eggs all boiled and peeled, then I opened the fridge and realized there was no mayo. So instead of giving up or running to the store. I used the next best thing I had. Horseradish sauce aka horsey sauce.

Now normally my family has made deviled eggs that were a little sweet and I wasn’t sure how well that would work out with the horsey sauce. Only thing I could do is try it and see.

Well, the deviled egg salad with the horsey sauce turned out AMAZING! I thought it might ruin it but not at all! It tasted just like how deviled eggs do. The only difference is it adds that heat and spicy that comes from the horseradish. It was so good I made it again yesterday morning.

If you’re fan of deviled eggs, egg salad, and horseradish/horsey sauce give it a try! It’s pretty damn good.

Also is there anything you’ve ever cooked where you had to substitute an important ingredient and it turned out better than you expected?
