(IL) where to start…

Looking for some guidance and advice from this community!

A little background: I am 28 years old and graduated with my Master’s in Accountancy this past summer. My undergraduate degree was in Biology, and I am currently enrolled in a second Master’s program focused on Finance and Real Estate. My accounting experience is limited, primarily helping with Illinois tax filings and calculating profit and loss reports for our business. Most of my professional background has been in healthcare, having worked as a CNA and PCT for about 10 years. I also assisted with payroll and inventory at a coffee shop during the pandemic.

With that said, what options are available for someone newer to the field with minimal experience? I would love any advice on how to prepare for interviews and what types of positions to look for. My long term goals include obtaining my CPA, exploring real estate, and continuing to help run our business.
