Do you think it will be much selling pressure SK hynix could face from the upcoming KRX Semiconductor Index rebalancing in next days?
From what I understand, SK hynix currently has a weight of around 36–37% in the index, but it is going to be capped/reduced to 20%. Some estimates suggest this could trigger more than KRW 1 trillion of forced/passive selling, mainly around the closing auction before the new weights take effect. Do you think most of this is already priced in/front-run, or could SK hynix still see meaningful downside specifically because ETFs and passive funds have to sell? Also, does anyone know whether the biggest selling should happen on September 10 at the close, or whether funds usually spread these trades over several days?
