What is true love?

Discussion

Funny thing about this generation is that I have to write “true” in front of the word “love.”

I think if you find true love at any point in your life, you will never be sad.

No.

That’s false.

You are still going to have bad days. You are still going to fight. You are still going to cry.

But I can assure you of one thing: in true love, you will never be sad for a long time.

Talking 24/7, going on dates, and doing random things together isn't necessarily love.

Real love is when you can show them your worst side without being afraid of losing them.

When you can cry in front of them without feeling uncomfortable.

When you can sit with them for hours without saying a word, and the silence doesn't feel awkward.

When you can talk to them about anything that comes into your mind or your heart.

I think that's love.

Because the most important thing in love is comfort.

If you aren't comfortable being yourself around someone, maybe it's attraction—not love.

And attraction can fade away after a few months, leaving you wondering what you ever saw in that person.

In love, you both should be childish enough to share your wildest dreams, and mature enough to solve each other's problems.

And if there's a fight between you two, solve it in person or on a call.

Not through endless texts.

Because sometimes, text has no emotion, and something that could have been solved easily can become a much bigger problem through messages.

And last but not least...

Love should be pure.

Please don't let anyone interfere with your purest feelings and turn them into something they were never meant to be.

Because when you find something real,

protect it.
