I absolutely hate building miniatures

Hobby & Painting

I really love almost every aspect of this hobby but the one thing I hate is building mini's.

To be fair, if it's a single unique model it's fine, but building a whole set of Krieg or other models with low variety in poses is painfully boring.

I love painting, it's the main reason I've entered this hobby, but getting those grey little guys together is so tiring. The process of gluing and especially sanding every bit to perfection isn't fun when repeated many times in a row.

I will likely buy a 3D resin printer in the future, yes there are other issues that come with it, but usually figures are already posed and ready to be painted after removing the supports.

There are definitely models that are more fun to build, but any box with more than 3 models in it gives me headaches in advance.

Going to hopefully finish that Krieg box today, I'm very excited to start painting. (I don't want to start painting before they are all finished, as I prime them with an airbrush and need to set it up each time I use it. Don't have a dedicated airbrush space)

If you are like me and dislike the building part, what are your ways to motivate yourself or spice things up?
