Six Flags Great Adventure Freight Fest

Hello! I want to know if you guys think it is worth it to take my family to the NJ park for Halloween festivities. We are from MA and have a pass to Six Flags New England which is about 20 mins from us. In June, we visited NJ and the parks offered so much more and the kids had a blast. We want to see it during Halloween. Shooting for Columbus Day weekend. Any pros/cons, advice or strategies would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is the safari portion still open this time of year?
