Weiss Schwarz Community in Singapore (New Player Friendly Discord)

Hello, I am part of a small community of Weiss Schwarz players in Singapore.

I was asked the other day: ‘How did you start playing Weiss?’

And this got me thinking:

So many stars had to align for this to happen!!!

It often starts from

1. Finding a series we enjoyed

2. Had someone who knew the game to some extent

3. Had decks available to teach with

And furthermore the fact that most resources are in Japanese

I realized that

It is actually really difficult for new players to even start their first game.

Weiss is not a new game, and thanks to that many players already have their own groups to play with. That makes it difficult for a new player to find people to learn from and learn with. As someone relatively new to Weiss, I was very fortunate to have had friends who were willing to guide me along.

And with that, I would like to pay it forward:

And this comes in the form of a Discord server!

What the server aims to do:

Be a space where casual or new players may learn to play from more experienced players ("Weiss Teachers").

Seek others to play with, discuss decks, strategies, rulings etc

Promote Singapore-specific tournaments and events

Specifically, if you are interested to learn about Weiss with no experience, this post is meant for you!

No prior knowledge, no fees (many of us have decks that we can lend to you to learn with).

Just come and be ready to learn about this fun game that we enjoy

Of course, we also welcome more experienced Weiss Schwarz players to join us (it’ll be awesome if you could also help with teaching the newer players btw!)

Let’s have fun playing Weiss together!!!
