Should I still proceed if I have the chance?
For context:
August 31, 2026 - May nakita akong Job sa Indeed. Same province lang yung company and isang city lang yung pagitan niya from my home to the office. The posted salary was ₱18k–₱25k, so I decided to give it a shot.
That same day, they viewed my application and emailed me to schedule an initial interview for the next day.
September 1 - I prepared everything for the interview, including myself. Online interview siya through MS Teams. Sinabihan ko pa sila dito sa bahay not to disturb me during that time kasi gusto ko maging fully prepared.
Eh kaso hindi siya sumipot sa MS Teams.
I waited, but no one joined the call. I was honestly pretty disappointed, especially since I had spent time preparing for it.
Nag email ako sakanila after what happend, but I didn't receive a response.
September 3 na sila nag respond sakin and sabi:
Naiintindihan ko naman since maulan ngayon dahil sa habagat.
They also told me that, as part of the hiring process, I needed to complete an assessment, with a deadline the following day.
I completed it that same day because I didn't want to delay anything on my end.
Now here's where I'm confused.
Today, September 9 - Wala paring update regarding the initial interview. hindi ko alam kung mare-reschedule ba, if they decided to move forward with other candidates, or if I should just assume they're no longer interested.
So now I'm wondering:
- Was the ₱18k-₱25k salary range a mistake?
- Did they change the salary after receiving applications?
- Or am I just overthinking this?
- Itutuloy ko pa ba for the experience?
