TTO screw removal

I am 14 weeks + 4 days post op for patella MACI with a TTO, and today my surgeon recommended that we go ahead and remove the TTO screws. He asked for a CT scan before he does it, but he said the x-ray showed that the bone is healed.

For those that have had their screws removed, what was your pain like? How long were you on crutches, if it all?

He said I’d be 50% weight bearing on that leg for 2 weeks, which seems really conservative, but maybe that’s because I’ll only be around 4 months post op.
