Do people switch from being dom to sub depending on certain aspects?

So basically im a dom with women 9/10 times anyways and that one percent is because I like that there dominant or that they say they'll step on me, edge me and make me beg with there feet (massive foot guy here) but that really is the only time im submissive with them do people have that 1 thing that turns them from a dom to a sub or a sub to a dom or just me its been on my mind for awhile now
