Omeprazole side effects?

Long term omemprazole user here. 40mg once a day for over a decade. I’ve had postules/bumps come and go for awhile.l on my scalp.

Backstory: 1980s misdiagnosed as Achalasia. Food impaction was my main symptom. 25-30 years later got diagnosed with EoE and Omeprazole has worked.

However, for years I’ve had what could be described as Folliculitis. Dermatologist unable to do anything that helps, it’s not fungal or contagious.

It gets pretty severe with flare ups at times, always on my scalp. I realized my first remembrance of this was after I started Omeprazole and starting digging. Turns out it can rarely cause Folliculitis type postules called AGEP.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Any adults have luck with switching to Dupixent and having a doctor on board and insurance covering it?
