What do you think should happen to Steven's gem when he dies.

There are a plethora of questions that say what will happen, which has a definitive answer, nothing because the creator said the gem just dies with him. Personally though, I think this answer is canon but annoying and depressing and could be cooler and was probably half there to avoid infinite sequels after Steven is dead.

I personally think that an interesting solution would be that Pink reforms, but with no knowledge of anything before. To her she just popped out of the ground (or however diamonds were made).

To put it into USB terms because I think it makes sense, Rose just formatted a USB. The USB isn't broken, just cleared and for the current usage (in steven) is in a different form. There's no reason the USB would break once the computer goes obsolete.

I am not asking for anybody's answer on what WILL happen, because that has been answered by Rebecca. I'm answering for what you'd want to happen / what you think makes sense.
