Heading into closing season, do you still run the skimmer on the surface?

I got an Ecosurfer S2 this year and it’s been great—the surface basically looks after itself now. But with closing season coming up, I’m not sure how to handle the wind-down phase.

Curious what others do during that stretch before closing. Do you still run the skimmer occasionally to keep the surface clear, or do you stop using it once you’re winding things down? I’m also interested in any tips for right before closing and when reopening the pool later.

Appreciate any experiences you can share.
