Wdym transition?

I don't believe it. I started a new study programme, very cool courses and nice classmates. One of them I vibed with very well (autism brainwaves) and we were just doing an exercise which involved telling each other about ourselves, the course has us reflect on our own experiences and that of others a lot due to the nature of what we're studying. Anyway, at one point I mentioned my transition. I thought, you know it's an open secret, I'm only 2 months on HRT though 3 years of social transition might help there's no way people don't clock me. So I mentioned my transition and he just looked at me like ? and said "What do you mean by transition?"

He didn't see it. He was confused because I mentioned a transition and he couldn't place it. He was trying to fit it into a frame of recovering and becoming a better, stronger person for it, which is what we were talking about. I told him ".. yeah like, from male to female?" He had no idea! He told me he never would have thought it, that I just gave off those vibes. He mentioned how happy I seemed! Of course I was extremely happy, but mostly just flabbergasted. I played it off but now that I've been home for a while I realize what just happened and what this means...

I always find it difficult to gauge if people out there actually see me as a woman, let alone if they recognize I might be trans. Now I know there's people out there who can be sitting next to me and talking to me for multiple days and just, have no idea!?

That shit made my day, no, my week! Month even! Wow!
