Idk anything im just helping a friend apparently they’ve been “served” BCS of property taxes

hiii if anyone is reading this help a person out idek anything ive never posted on here! sooo this is my first time but by the title..apparently my friend has been served? Yesterday afternoon a person came by and gave them papers saying he was no longer the owner of the home anymore. Because of “unpaid property taxes” The weirdest part is that they have been paying them but apparently a company took over but my friend was unaware that it had been. And now they are in debt and the company wants 10k for the title (they live in a mobile home)and the managers are saying it’s not possible to just change someone’s name on the title because where they live you have to get approval to move in..everything is just confusing for them. I wanna help but I don’t know how to. Do they just pay that 10k or?? Because the property taxes in total are like what $500 I feel so bad..
