Hi,

Please bear with me. I am obviously very stupid. First off guarantee that I will do the correct thing, if you say that I should separate and not spay my cat I will do that, but I might throw out some objections just to make sure that I’ve thought of everything.

Unnecessary backstory-
In 2006, I found a small dumpster girl kitty which I barely remember spaying. No problems no issues. Uneventful. She was my first kitty. Then I got 6 more boys.

In August, I got twins a boy and a girl. (Yes it’s crazy at our house). Just in the last couple days Willow’s nipples are very swollen. Having basically never had a girl cat I would like thinking anywhere from cancer to in heat. But she is not acting like she’s in heat.

I’ve got my vet on speed dial in the last 6 weeks I’ve been there 11 times. I’ve taken all of my cats plus some of them multiple times. So I call them and I hate to say this but get the vet that isn’t good. The other vet is amazing.

Great vet said she would actively monitor Willow and we could decide when to spay. For Sunny the boy we could neuter little later.

I call spoke to Not Great vet and say Willow’s nipples are super swollen. Should I bring her in? Do you wanna look at her? They say no we don’t wanna even see her. Separate the boy and the girl for two months and then we will spay and neuter them. Good luck with that.

Is that correct? Should I ask to speak to the other vet? Am I stupid for not realizing that at some point they would need to be separated?

Here are my kittens at 18.5 weeks playing yesterday
