I want to help my friend with finding her career path

I'm in my final year of middle school and I want to help my friend. We live in a country that is extremely academically oriented. She is, not to be rude or anything but, not the brightest. She's not even sure if she can get into university. The career she's currently thinking of is a kindergarten teacher, because the job doesn't require university and she likes kids. However, it's mostly her just settling for what she can get. She's also thought of a nurse assistant. Both the jobs are minimum wage, and prices are really hogh where we live. What career paths do you recommend?
