Advice: MIL does not respect boundaries

Hey everyone,

FTM - 7 weeks pregnant - unfortunately my MIL does not respect our boundaries.

For example, she keeps pushing her favourite names onto us, to which I repeatedly told her that I do not like the names.

The other night we had a family dinner where she announced to all of my husband’s closest family (sibling + cousins) that we are expecting without even asking us for approval first. When confronted about it by my husband, she did not want to take accountability.

I am pissed off and my husband initially wanted to pin it down to her excitement but I am so over it.

Anyone else had to deal with family members pushing boundaries? How do I deal with it best?
